The Lowell Historical Society will hold a brief annual meeting before a special presentation by Walter Hickey, entitled Beyond Ladd & Whitney: The Lowell Casualties of 19 April 1861. In addition to the three killed, another 14 were wounded, some seriously. Although recognized at the time they are today forgotten. This will present an overview of their wounds, recognition by the Commonwealth, and travails with the Pension Office.
