The United States Census Bureau is in the process of recruiting applicants to work on the upcoming 2020 Decennial Census. The Pollard Memorial Library will hold a Census Day on Tuesday, April 23 from 1:00 – 5:00 pm. A representative from the Census Bureau will be here to give information about the jobs they are recruiting for and assist anyone interested in applying. The Census Bureau is committed to hiring census takers to work in their own communities. The jobs are well paying up to $25 an hour in Middlesex County with flexible hours up to 8 hours per day and up to 40 hours per week. Employees will receive paid training and be paid on a weekly basis. Work related mileage is reimbursed as well. Applying and more information can be found at 2020census.gov/jobs.
